International Fashion Week Dubai Season 6 SS18
International Fashion Week Dubai Season S/S was a high-end fashion event organized by The Opulence Events LLC, the event was held from 5th to 7th April 2018 at Hotel Sofitel the Palm Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Once again IFWD was a splendid very successful fashion week while keeping its concept alive by bringing fashion designers from various countries to UAE. The designers were provided an opportunity to showcase their latest collection of haute couture, bridals, party wear and ready to wear etc. This lineup of designers was again amazing; the world’s top designer Farida Temraza from Egypt who is dressing Hollywood celebrities has closed the show.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest His Excellency Zulfiquar Z.Ghadiyali CEO Private office of H.H Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Prominent Guest of Honor’s were Mr. Rizwan Sajan Chairman Danube Group, Bollywood Actress Julie Bri, Emirati Formula 1 Champion Haitham Al Ali, Diplomats from various consulates, Miss Morocco and Miss Italia and many important guests who attended the event. Over 50 Medias local and international covered the event.
Founder & Managing Director – Ms. Cheryle Dias – said that she is always trying her best and inclined towards promoting and upgrading the fashion industry and to bring about Fashion, Technology, and Business together under one platform, and to give an opportunity to innovative and talented emerging designers to start their carrier from our platform and at the same time to also acknowledge their work and encourage the best of talents by rewarding them, the event presently holds a PR value of AED 1.5 Billion
This season featured the second edition of the International Fashion Awards @ International Fashion Week Dubai S6, and awards were given away for various categories such as Sustainable Fashion Award- Kris Barber, Fashion Platform Award- Future Fashion -Ms. Ayesha Siddequa, UAE, Best Fashion Media- Wassim Mandil- MMM International, UAE, Best Model of the year – Nina, Best Fashion Innovation Award- Salima El Boussouni, Morocco, Best Emerging Fashion Designer- Abdallah Kashman, Jordan, Emerging Designers Competition, 1st Prize- Sirin Al Baghada, UAE, 2nd Prize- Mona, UAE.
The event also featured hands-on workshop on Sustainable Fashion conducted by Kris Barber & Ayesha Siddique.
The Fashion week was also a spotlight on the runway models which included Miss Kosovo, Miss USSR Miss Poland, Miss Italia and Miss Morocco.
Day 1 of the fashion show started with the inauguration by the Chief Guest His Excellency Zulfiquar Z.Ghadiyali
The participant designers on day 1 were as follows:
Opening show- Viabesco by Ali Assad from Syria showcased party wear looks on the ramp
Second Show- Caftan Skalli by Salima Al Boussouni from Morocco showcased her elegant caftans
Third show- The Glamour Hunter by Olga Farafonava from Spain showcased party wear looks on the ramp. Glamour Hunter Luxury Couture is the definition of high fashion that masters the art of creating luxury dresses.
Fourth show- BUDDAH by Abdallah Khashman emerging designers from Jordan showcased his elegant ready to wear collections.
Fifth and Final Show- NG Kelly from Canada closed the show on the First day with her stunning collections of evening wear and bridal.
The participant designers on day 2 were as follows:
Opening show- Larysa Rabinska, from Poland, showcased her stunning ready to wear collection
Second show- Decy Ramona owner of TYRAMONA Cemerlang Inspired by South Sulawesi Tradition unveiled her latest collection entitled “Pa’Lumu Toraja”.
Third Show- American University of the Emirates- 4 young talented student designers showcased their collections on the ramp.
Fourth Show- Tatev Couture from Armenia showcased their luxury evening wear collections.
Closing show- Farida Temraz one of the world’s top designers from Egypt closed the show with her unique high-end collections Temraza is recognized by their unique and elegant designs that perfectly sculpt and enhance a woman’s silhouette using glamorous details. Drawing inspiration from a plethora of cultures, Creative Director and brand founder Farida Temraz designs luxury collections fabricated with the finest materials and embroideries.
Some of the refined products were exhibited during the fashion week, at the popup shops which included 3D video and Photography by Marek from Poland, High-end leather pure leather products from Gilly International, Belgium and High-end Couture Fashion by Naz Couture from Baku and many many more fashion brands.

The show had a super success, attended by 5000, and catered to an exclusive audience which included royal family, Ambassadors, Buyers, Retailers, Trade houses, entrepreneurs, Fashion Designers, Fashion design Students, fashionista’s and High-end society, with an unparalleled press and media coverage.
The Launch of International Fashion week Paris is scheduled in Paris from 29th to 30th September 2018 and Season 7 of International Fashion Week Dubai is scheduled in Dubai from 18th to 20th October 2018. Some of the top international and local designers will be participating along with local and upcoming talented designers as also the international fashion awards and the emerging designer’s competition.
We have Introduced Dubai as an International Fashion Hub in the International Fashion Calendar and since the conception of IFWD in May 2015 we have already brought more than 40 countries designers to Dubai.
