JnU BCL Activists Beat 3 Students
Three Students of Jagannath University (JnU) department of Mass Communication and Journalism have beaten up including women students, who did not sit for playing cards. One of the injured student’s Staff Reporter of Private Television Channel Nine.
They were given primary treatment at the university’s medical center. In this incident, injured students filed a written complaint to the Proctor’s office. It is known that on Thursday morning, at around 8:30 am, three students went for group study at Durjoy bus near the main gate of the University. 6 students of the 9th batch of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism were in this bus. Some of them were female students. At that time some young people came and asked them to come out of the bus and leave seats for them. And in this place, they will play cards.
In the meantime, when asked about their, they introduced themselves as BCL activists and students of 12 batch. In the absence of confusion, the students of the Adar (CSE 12 batch), Arnab (permanent expelled from the University), Mehdi Shanto (Management 12 batch), Partho(Geography 12 batch), Shibli (12 batches), Fuad. Riaz Rahman, the 9th batch student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Md. Sabbir Hasan, Faizunnahar Akter Jinia, Staff Reporter of Channel Nine Reaz Rahman were seriously injured.
JnU Chhatra League General Secretary Sheikh Jainul Abedin Rasel said such unpleasant incidents have occurred due to some misunderstanding. We went to the proctor office with the injured and recommended the highest punishment against the accused. Proctor Dr. Nur Mohammad said that a written statement has been received of this incident and took action to investigate
