Workshop on Comprehensive ETP held at JU
A workshop titled ‘Development of a comprehensive ETP’ was held at Wazed Miah Science Research Center on the Jahangirnagar University campus hereon yesterday.
The environmental sciences department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) organized the workshop on Comprehensive Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) around 10 am. The function was inaugurated by University Grand Commission (UGC) member Professor Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah as the chief guest where JU VC Professor Farzana Islam was addressed as the special guest.
Addressing the function, Professor Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah underscored reusing the used water to reduce the pressure on water demand.
The keynote speech of the function was delivered by assistant professor Mustafizur Rahman of the environmental sciences department.
The director of Wazed Miah Science Research Center Professor Khabir Uddin presided over the programme that also addressed by former Vice-Chancellor of JU Professor Shariff Enamul Kabir, Pro-VC (Education) Professor Md Nurul Alam, Pro-VC (Administration) Professor Amir Hussain and Treasurer Md Manzurul Huq.
Earlier of the workshop, the invited guests visited the water research centre established on the campus adjacent to the environmental sciences department.
