I wish to create a cultural bridge between France & Pakistan: Tabassum Saleem
1. What do you do for a living?
I’ m Tabassum Saleem. I work in the French Administration, and also active in social activities and fashion field. I have two titles:
– Madame Elegant France International 2017-2018
– Ambassador at large France for International Human Right Commission.
2. How would you describe what you do?
I m a French lady with Pakistani origin and I m feel proud to represent my two respected countries France and Pakistan in over the world. France gives me much respect and gives me social status and Pakistan give me also much respect and make me famous personality with my social activities.
I was born in Lahore Pakistan and come to France when I was 5years. My all study was in France. I’m live in Paris and work in French administration.
1998, I represent the first time the Pakistani cultural event in my college life and my passion was born this time for representing the culture in France and also because I love my father who died in 2001.
In 2016, Ambassador of Pakistan in France Ghalib Iqbal give me an award in the Pakistan press club ceremony for people who make the name of Pakistan higher.
4th December 2016 I was winning the beauty title of Madame Elegant France International organized by the Comité Miss Elégante France – International organized every year in Paris. The contest is divided into 2 categories: Miss Elégante France (18-34 years) and Madame Elégante France (35+ years). This is the only European level beauty contest in France where ladies of all ages represent their culture. I have represented Pakistan with utmost beauty, love, and hard work. I was aced many tough levels to win Madame Elégante France 2017 title. This title not only reflects my hard work but also love for Pakistan. After winning this title I have a great opportunity to represent culture at different big events such as fashion shows, big brand as interviews and invitations for high Lego events.
I took full benefits from this golden opportunity. I was highly motivated to bring fame to Pakistani culture in a beautiful city like Paris and will provide an example for others.
2017, I was invited as an honored guest in Festival of art and elegance in Marroco.
2017, I was first French Pakistani going to Cannes Festival. The worldwide and renowned famous French Cannes Film Festival. Thanks to this title of elegance and beauty, I was able to make representations around the world where I was the first French of Pakistani origin to participate in the 70th Cannes festival in 2017.
2017, I was designated International Delegate for the French think tank a Geopolitical club.
2018 I was designated Ambassador at large France for International Human rights commission.

August 2018, I was invited to Pakistan with my French delegation Ibrahim Sorel Keita President of BDMTV, Muriel Tounia French journalist and Brice Cadenet Boxer for the cultural documentary project in Kashmir by Alpha Pro media agency in Pakistan.
Documentary directed and shoot by Jawad Raza Khan, Director of Alpha Pro Pakistan’s Digital & Social Media Agency. Jawad Raza Khan is a Pakistani short film director and screenwriter best known for his investigative documentaries. He has also written over 400 articles and stories earning him numerous awards. Over the course of 15 years of production, Khan has gone from low-budget independent films to mega-budget documentaries.
M Usman Farooq, Assistant Director of Alpha Pro. He is the most talented and experienced filmmaker and assisted so many documentaries and short film projects have done his Film and TV degree from Punjab University Lahore, currently working with White Productions as Assistant Director. He has also the background of investigative journalism and his research work has got huge appreciation at the national level.
During, this documentary shoot we also meet with President of Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan. This documentary released in the world famous channel very soon.
3. What does your work entail?
The love and passion for my two countries France and Pakistan.
4. What’s a typical work week like?
Every day is a pleasure to get up and work for a good cause that is humanity and help others.
5. How did you get started?
I started to be active in social activities and be famous in my origin country Pakistan when I won my beauty title. Indeed, this title of beauty has opened the international doors for me.
6. What do you like about what you do?
I wish to create a cultural bridge between France and Pakistan. And that’s what I love.
7. What do you dislike?
I hate dishonest people who use other people’s image to succeed and make money. I love peace and harmony and all I do is to bring light to the world.
8. How do you make money or how are you compensated?
I am not paid for my social and cultural activities. I am only sponsored to attend cultural or fashion events abroad.
9. What skills are needed to do this?
You have to want to discover other cultures and highlight them.
10. what is most challenging about what you do?
Be strong as a woman.
11. what is most rewarding?
The blessing of people.
12. What advice would you offer someone considering this career?
The day you understand that your career is not to make money. You will be the strongest man in the world because you have taken your job for a passion.
And always help others and you have all the time the true blessings.
13. How much time off do you get?
There is no time to win or lose because when you love what you do you do not count.
14.what else would you like people to know about your career?
That a woman can succeed alone when she has the will and the strength.
15. what is a common misconception people have about what you do?
I do not want to know what people think about me. I do what I like without hurting anyone.
