‘Sangskritayan’ to celebrate its 6th annual celebration at RU
Sangskritayan, a Rajshahi University (RU) cultural organization, is going to celebrate its 6th annual celebration on Tuesday. On the day several programs will be held at Kazi Nazrul Islam auditorium of the university all day long from 10am to celebrate the event. Sukhon Sarker, the secretary of the organization said these on a press conference on Sunday.
Programs will be held in two shifts. The first shift will start at 10 am through the inauguration of playwright S M Abu Bakar and Professor of RU theater department Malay Bhowmick. An art-exhibition by “Nandanayan” will be scheduled after the inauguration, where artworks of “Fine Arts” faculty teachers will be displayed. After that a rally will be brought out.
Beside these, invited cultural personalities will discuss about the Bengali culture, classical music, classical dance and mime at the event. First shift will be closed at 1pm following the art-criticism by professor Malay Bhowmick.
The closing ceremony of the event will start at 5 pm through performing classical music. After that, dance organization “Nrittayan” will perform classical dance. A mime named “Bangalir Ovijatra” will be played as the ending program of the event.
In 2013, “Sngskritayan” started its journey. Every year since its establishment, the organization is publishing an international journal on culture.
