Celebrate Womanhood with Androgyny this Season
Androgynous fashion styles are neither feminine nor masculine but gender-inclusive and sexually neutral. As a fashion designer, I believe there is both feminine and masculine present in all of us. Fashion is strongly gender-based. Clothing always defines the gender and characteristics of a person. Society has always directed how women should dress or look. Women now don’t care about how society wanted them to dress. They have cultivated her own style with the androgynous wardrobe.
women now are not bound to look or wear feminine clothing. They dress for themselves not for society, the public, fashion, or men.
Today androgyny is in trend and it’s different from what it was earlier. It can also be about neither masculine nor feminine. I feel fashion should be gender fluid. My silhouettes are clean cuts and sharp edges for both male & female l to create a neutral image among people so they can allow themselves to wear clothes however they want to.
This collection is by our sustainable brand Parole made by the inmates of the correctional facility….consists of lapel jackets in both stripes and checks, bolero jackets teamed with breeches, etc…the color hues are mostly bright pastels to give it a more refreshing look. Even bomber jackets are there which can be teamed with skirts and shorts too.
